Interests

I am deeply interested in innovation, with a primary focus on sustainability—whether it concerns food, clothing, or furniture. I have a deep appreciation for the legacy of objects and strive to consume more consciously.

My objective for the future is to contribute to an environment that marries my personal values with professional aspirations.

Here are some insights into my main interests and how I connect with them.

Art, Design & Second-Hand Furniture

From a young age, my passion for design was kindled by frequent visits to Art Fairs like Maison & Objet, art galleries in rue de Seine, Paris, and antique shops across the countryside. Growing up in a home filled with colour and creativity, I was also exposed to the art world when my parents had worked for Pianos Pleyel and directed their new strategy of introducing collaborations with Designers - such as Andrée Putman, Hilton McConnico - to create unique art deco pianos.

While Art has always been a crucial part of my upbringing and interests, I also truly value a more sustainable approach to life. I am now deeply interested in a more sustainable living with low-impact production methods.

Sustainable Fashion

During COVID, I completely revamped my approach to shopping. With some extra time on my hands, I began exploring more conscious brands and second-hand platforms. This led me to further my knowledge by completing the course “Fashion and Sustainability: Understanding Luxury Fashion in a Changing World” by UAL & Kering.

I now try to shop in a better way, buying most of my clothes on second-hand platforms such as Vinted or Vestiaire Collective, or in second-hand shops. I also try to talk about it with people around me to start conversations with those who still consume only fast fashion, trying to influence them towards a more ethical consumption.

Food

Food has always been a passion of mine, thanks to a family that loves cooking and enjoys great meals together. I now try to eat more consciously, listening to the natural food cycle and always trying to eat in a better, more sustainable way.

I regularly write restaurant reviews on Google, as I often rely on online recommendations when choosing dining spots. Since moving to Stockholm, I’ve also started using Mapstr to document and explore new culinary experiences - feel free to follow me on Mapstr @marionsixtine16 :)

I’m deeply inspired by influential figures in the food culture and never miss TV shows like ‘Top Chef’ to discover emerging talent.
